Optional Day Trips and Activities
Important Notes 

Rehearsals and cast / crew photography (digital download included in registration) will take place as follows:

  • Thursday: '65 - '70, '75, '80, and '85
  • Friday: '90, '95, '00, WorldSmart '05, '10, '15, and '20
  • You perform on the day you rehearse.
  • If it's not your "official" year but you have more than a handful of people, we will seek to offer a photo spot for you on the same day as your reunioning counterparts ('87E would be on Thursday, for example).

Please plan accordingly and do not book a day trip when you need to be onsite!

  • Space is limited. Once a tour is full, we cannot add more busses.
  • Last day to book is 1st May, 2025.
  • All activities have a minimum number of 30 to proceed, unless otherwise specified.
  • If you are on a waitlist, we will notify you if a space becomes available.
  • If you are booked on a tour and need to cancel, please notify registration@uwpiaa.org.
  • Each registered person may add one non-registered guest on the day tour at the same rate they paid IF space is available after all registered alumni have had the opportunity to book.
    • There will be a check box on the registration form, near the bottom to notify us of this request. 
    • This is the ONLY way to request to add a non-registered guest.
  • You are able to ADD to your registration only. If you have paid and need to make a change, email your request to registration@uwpiaa.org.

Cancellation Policy:

You can receive a 100% refund, less a €5 processing fee, on or before 1st April 2025. A 50% refund, less €5 processing fee, on or before 1st May 2025. No refunds issued after 1st May, but ticket transfer is possible. We must be aware of the transfer and implement it in the system for it to be honoured.

Slieve Carron Pullough Hike in the Heart of the Burren

  • €85 (includes light lunch) Minimum 20 people; Maximum 30 people each day
  • Offered Sunday (20th), and Wednesday (23rd)
  • Moderately taxing hike on rocky terrain

Farm Visit in the Burren Region, Sheep Dog and Irish Soda Bread Demonstrations

  • €85 (includes light lunch)
  • Offered Monday (21st), Thursday (24th), and Friday (25th)
  • VIsit on a local farm, meet the animals and learn about traditional bread

Cliffs of Moher and Inis OÍrr 

  • €95 (includes box lunch)
  • Offered Monday (21st) and Wednesday (23rd)
  • View the famous Cliffs and go to the island via ferry for a visit to a charming island to tour by foot or bike.

A special day in Midleton, Co Cork 

  • €78
  • Offered Monday (21st) and Wednesday (23rd)
  • Learn how the Choctaw Native American people from the southeastern United States, The Irish Famine and Irish Whiskey are all connected!

Killarney 

  • €78
  • Offered Monday (21st) and Wednesday (23rd)
  • Visit the village of Adare, tour Killarney in a jaunting car. Tour a Victorian home, Muckross House. There is time to stroll and take in the beautiful scenery.

Galway City 

  • €80 
  • Offered Monday (21st), Wednesday (23rd), and Sunday (27th)
  • Enjoy a 2 hour guided walking tour of the city and time to eat and stroll on your own

Irish Family-run Hanly Woollen Mill Experience with discounted shopping, followed by private tour of Birr Castle with the Rosse Family 

  • €95 (includes lunch)
  • Offered Monday (21st), Thursday (24th), and Friday (25th)
  • A very special day to meet local families with a global reach for different reasons ...The Hanly Family has manufactured fine Irish woollen textiles for five generations. The Rosse family are descendants of the Parsons family, renowned for their pioneering work in science, engineering, and astronomy over 400 years. 

Golf

  • €195 per person 
  • Includes lunch and an AAW official golf shirt
  • Monday (21st), and Wednesday (23rd)
  • Prizes will be awarded and singles are welcome.

Dublin Weekend Meet Up

  • €295 per person, Maximum 20 people
  • Offered Thursday (17th) to Sunday (20th)
  • Includes welcome breakfast, Hop-On Hop-Off city bus ticket, Dublin group guided walking tour, a TBD curated tour/experience, a private reception with the Slovakian Ambassador to Ireland in the Slovakian Embassy.

Limestone Yoga Retreat

  • €145 per person, Minimum 10; Maximum 16 people (includes welcome tea, baked treats, and light lunch)
  • Sunday, 20th July
  • Enjoy a welcome tea and baked treats, participate in Restorative Yoga and Yog Nidra, and a Sound Bath Experience. There will be an optional Guided Mindfulness Walk along the river after lunch, followed by a Cacoa Ceremony.

Belfast "Language of Peace" Study Group

  • €750 per person, Maximum 25 people
  • Sunday, 27th - Wednesday, 30th
  • Includes travel to Northern Ireland, three nights' accommodations, most meals, professionally facilitated tours, and workshop to learn about “The Troubles” in Northern Ireland and discuss what we can learn about the peace process that may apply to today’s conflicts in the world and in our own communities.

Note: There will be optional workshops and sessions as well as yoga sessions offered each weekday.
