Annual Alumni Week is powered by an all-volunteer team. It’s a great chance to relive the magic of UWP, connect with alumni from around the world, and dive into the heart of Irish culture. By volunteering, you’ll make new friendships, expand your network, and give back to the UWP community in a meaningful way. Deadline

The 2025 deadline to apply to volunteer has passed. Please consider applying for the team next year. We will be in Limerick from Monday 20 July to Sunday, 26 July. Volunteers for 2026 will need to arrive by Saturday the 18th for training.

Social Media Coordinator (click to view)
Help capture and share the spirit of Alumni Week as the Social Media Coordinator, managing real-time content updates and connecting with attendees through social platforms.

Day Volunteer (click to view)
Local to Ireland? Lead exciting excursions as a Day Volunteer, guiding alumni through memorable outings while ensuring smooth logistics, safety, and a fun, informative experience.

Facilities Coordinator (click to view)
Oversee event spaces as the Facilities Coordinator, managing schedules, setups, and logistics to ensure smooth operations for Alumni Week activities.

Meals Coordinator (click to view)
Lead meal planning for Alumni Week as the Meals Coordinator, overseeing scheduling, dietary accommodations, and on-site coordination to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Tech Coordinator (click to view)
Take the lead on all non-production technical elements of Alumni Week as the Technical Coordinator, ensuring seamless audiovisual setup, troubleshooting, and event execution.

Transportation Coordinator (click to view)
Lead the transportation logistics for Alumni Week as the Transportation Coordinator, ensuring smooth travel for attendees through strategic planning and on-site coordination.

Analytics Support (click to view)
Provide analytics support to the Registration Team by helping to manage event data, troubleshoot registration issues, and ensure seamless coordination of merchandise, accommodations, and activities.

Finance Support (click to view)
Support Alumni Week as a Finance Volunteer by assisting with budgeting, payment processing, and financial tracking to ensure smooth and accurate event operations!

Merch Coordinator (click to view)
Join the Merch Team to help fulfill orders, manage inventory, and create a welcoming shopping experience for alumni during the event.

Wellness Team (click to view)
Leverage your medical, coaching, fitness, or complementary medical background to support Alumni Week by leading activities, providing first aid, and ensuring participant well-being during key events.

Commitment & Training

  • All full-time volunteers are requested and encouraged to attend the training day on the University of Limerick campus on Saturday, July 19.
  • All Team Leads are required to attend training on July 19.
  • Full-time volunteers will also have two online training sessions before Alumni Week.
  • On each day a person volunteers, all volunteers assigned to work that day will be expected to attend a morning meeting for information and updates about the day.

Benefits for Volunteering for Annual Alumni Week

In appreciation for your time, benefits are being offered to volunteers, as listed on the role descriptions. Please note AAW is a new event with new structures and new requirements for volunteers. Please keep in mind that the UWPIAA is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization.

Additional Details & Notes

  • The volunteer team will be assigned to shared on-campus accommodations.
  • If you are making your own arrangements for housing or plan to stay with non-volunteers, we need to know by Feb 25  so that we do not allocate you in the team on-campus accommodations.
    • The accommodation credit can be applied if you choose to stay with others on- or off-campus.
    • The accommodation credit amount will be reimbursed to you and will require a receipt submitted to the UWPIAA.

  • Many volunteers are needed each day of the week, but demand will fluctuate. We will do our best to assign everyone equal time and you will have a  day off. IF applying as a Day Volunteer please note it may be an early start and also advise days of the week you are 100% available.
  • Offers of full-time or day volunteering will be solely based upon the needs and roles for which you apply.
  • Show evenings will take place on Thursday and Friday. Please review this website for scheduling information.

Notes

  • Volunteers will be assigned based upon need, we will give priority to the specific areas for which you applied.
  • Volunteers may be assigned to general volunteer tasks once your specific duties of your role have been completed.
  • You will have a free day during the week.
  • Due to University policies, there will be no volunteers assisting ANY show productions.
  • Due to University policies, the University staff will be checking name tags at doors to show nights, not UWPIAA volunteers.
